I am also taking part in this year's Devon Open Studios, when a selection of my artwork will be on display at my studio. The Open Studios dates will be 6th to 14th September. I am now offering online tuition with my new email pastel courses, and these are already proving very popular. If you are interested, please refer to my E-workshops page for details. The cost of the email courses is £25.00 plus £2.50 p&p each. The same courses are available as postal courses. 

                                                       ****New Art Break - Learn to Paint Pet Portraits****

I am now offering a specialised two day course to show you how to make the most of the lucrative pet portrait market.  Please refer to my Art Breaks page for full details.  On this two day course I wil be giving you essential tips on all aspects of pet portraiture, including:

* Photography

* Choice of paper

* Design and composition

* Drawing out

* Choice of pastels

* Different approaches to painting your image

* Presentation

* Marketing suggestions

Whether you are a beginner, or an experienced artist wishing to develop your skills, you will find this course invaluable. 

The dates for this course will be Saturday and Sunday the 1st and 2nd November 2008, and the course will run from 10.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. each day.  The cost of this two day course will be £150 per person, to include light refreshments, plus cost of optional packed lunch.  Places are limited to five artists to ensure individual tuition.  Please ring or email for further details.
