"I taught Primary aged children for most of my life, and could see that absolutely everyone could learn to master the basic skills of all subjects.  There were two areas in my own life where I felt an absolute failure - art and music.  When I retired fifteen years ago I decided to find sympathetic teachers and learn to play the violin and paint landscapes in watercolour.

"I was lucky and found gentle, encouraging teachers, and had many happy hours and experienced much satisfaction.  I have now added learning to play the clarinet and making pastel pictures to my pleasures".
