"Having never shown any leaning or even interest in painting in the past, I took my first leap into the world of watercolour painting when I retired in 2004. I went to a few evening clases and thoroughly enjoyed it.
"I have been inspired by the pastel works of Walter Elliott at his gallery in Braunton. This has given me a whole new insight of what is possible to achieve with this medium.
"I enjoy portraiture and animals most. I have been working in pastels on and off for four years".
